I very much like when the book matches the vibe.

Benchley on Cape Cod, Marlon James in Jamaica, Sally Rooney in Ireland, Marquez in Colombia, le Carre in Panama… A large part of my vacation excitement is tailoring my book(s) choices to be set in the place I’m visiting. It enriches the experience especially when you read a sentence referencing a landmark or street you just saw or walked down.
